9215 UAD ASRock RTK driver from ASRock (recently posted)
Thanks!
I need help though! Any reason why when I would plug my headset into the front jack that it would overwrite rear jack speakers?
I have Realtek Audio Console working and also have the settings set to separate all jacks. But it only separates when I run the installer from ASRock then cancel installation of new drivers after reboot. When I do it this way the console doesn't work (cannot connect to RPC) error. But whichever driver is installed prior to cancellation actually shows the separate jacks in the sound mixer.
I'd like to keep the jacks separate AND use console.
Btw thanks for this extremely helpful forum.
maybe use an older driver version rather than the latest version (latest UAD ASRock driver is not always better for some ASRock boards). try the 9038.1 driver listed for your ASRock B450m/ac R2 board
other versions to use such as 9075.1, 9126.1 & 9147.1
edit - when updating or downgrading drivers, always reboot the computer
Hi all!
I've read most of this thread and others, but I have a problem that I really can't figure out.
I have a Gigabyte B550 Vision D with "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_1458A0D2" and I've tried four different driver configurations:
1) Via Windows Update:
- hdxgigabyte: 6.0.8881.1
- hdx_gigabyteext_xperi4_rtk: 6.0.8945.1
- Asio Component 1.0.0.5
- Audio Effects Component 11.0.60000.773
- Audio Universal Service 1.0.0.255
- Hardware Support Application 11.0.6000.217
2) Via Gigabyte Driver Package
- hdxgigabyte: 6.0.9126.1
- hdx_gigabyteext_xperi4_rtk: 6.0.8945.1
- Asio Component 1.0.0.7
- Audio Effects Component 11.0.60000.878
- Audio Universal Service 1.0.0.346
- Hardware Support Application 11.0.6000.245
3) Via Microsoft Update Catalog
- hdxgigabyte: 6.0.9210.1
- hdx_gigabyteext_xperi4_rtk: 6.0.8945.1
- Asio Component 1.0.0.8
- Audio Effects Component 11.0.60000.937
- Audio Universal Service 1.0.0.404
- Hardware Support Application 11.0.6000.254
4) Via pal1000
- hdxgigabyte: 6.0.8881.1
- hdx_gigabyteext_xperi4_rtk: 6.0.8945.1
- Asio Component 1.0.0.5
- Audio Effects Component 11.0.60000.957
- Audio Universal Service 1.0.0.425
- Hardware Support Application 11.0.6000.255
- hdxrtsst: 6.0.8924.1
- hdxrt: 6.0.8924.1
- hdx_genericext_rtx: 6.0.8824.1
The problem is: with the first three configurations, Realtek Audio Console (1.28.255.0) sets everything except Equalizer and Environment. With the last one (which installs three extra drivers?), EQ and Environment both work!
I'd prefer to use official drivers... do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for your help.
Your motherboard comes with DTS:X Ultra app --- which is where you will get your equalizer and environment.
The whole purpose of Gigabyte disabling your equalizer and environment in the Realtek Audio Console is that they don't want you to accidentally enabling 2 equalizers at the same time (Realtek Audio Console and DTS:X Ultra app) --- and ruin your sound by mistake.
You install the Gigabyte driver and then you update the individual items via Microsoft Update Catalog, see my sticky tutorial for information.
Oh god, you're right! I've never even downloaded DTS since I thought it was bloatware...
But Gigabyte might have messed up... now EQ and Environment presets work in both apps at the same time.
Nevertheless, thank you so much! I've spent an entire afternoon trying to figure this out and you've solved it in 7 minutes.
indeed. contact ASRock support, mention the problem to them and wait for them to issue a fix.
you can also post the problem in ASRock forums and check there if someone will come up with a solution or a fix.

Have a question. Can you use DDU to completely uninstall and remove audio drivers and app components to do a fresh install of updated audio drivers?
