Go to my previous post on Microsoft update catalog to update your driver and the 3 software components by device manager. You will end up with 8809 driver, 731 audio effects, 210 realtek service, and 199 hsa.

As I said, either asrock packaged to the driver incorrectly or you used RtlUpd64 instead of setup.exe.

As I said, clicking RtlUpd64 did nothing at all. Clicking setup.exe is the only thing that worked, but this time for some reason It installed all the three components and Realtek Audio Console now works. Anyway, do you recommend that I update my realtek drivers, is my real question now?

Why wouldn't you update? They are mostly bug fixes (and mostly related to power management) and they are from official Microsoft sources.

Fair enough, I downloaded the updates you spoke about in your earlier comment from the windows catalog page, but I have no idea how to install them through the device manager at all?

Unzip the cat file and instead of automatically search for update driver, point to the folder you unzipped.

Sounds easy enough, but which drivers in device manager should I update with what? you made me download two drivers. One for media and one normal one.

The 8809 folder updates realtek driver under the sound/video/game controller.

The other folder updates the 3 software components.

For the other folder that updates the 3 software components. Do I have to click on each one of them and install it, or just any of the components?

Update all 3 components separately, but point to the same folder.
