I am real sorry this is such a PITA, a lot of users have been unable to get the RAC to work on W10, I gave up and just used the generic audio manager. You may have to do a clean install of the UAC driver as explained on page 11 of this thread and then try to download RAC.
I this thread Determine the HDA Realtek driver needed for your Audio it explains how to choose the correct driver (FF00, FF01, etc) for your hardware/audio codec on the alanfox webpage. I have an older Realtek ALC889 so I used the latest generic FF00 driver and it installs the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
You will need to determine the correct driver that is compatible with your hardware.
Just want to confirm a few things:
1) you have the asrock z370 taichi
2) you downloaded the 8496 driver directly from asrock
3) you installed the driver and you see the 3 realtek software components in device manager.
If you see the 3 software components in device manager, then go to Microsoft update catalog. Search for realtek 1903 and realtek 1903 media.
Toggle the time column to give you the latest download. Update the realtek driver and the 3 software components (so total 4 things) manually using device manager.
Realtek 1903 media will give you 8809 driver.
Realtek 1903 will give you something 11.0.6000.199 --- the realtek audio control app 1.7.199.0.
Run windows store to download/update your realtek audio control app.
