    Dear @jeffrey:
You want to go to Device manager, then right-click on the Realtek device under Sound, video and game controllers.
Select "Update Driver" from the resulting pop-up menu.
Click "Browse my computer for driver software."
In the "Search for drivers in this location text box" window, click the Browse button, then navigate to the subdirectory that is created when you unpack the contents of the Station Drivers exe file onto a hard disk. In my case, I used 7zip to unpack the contents for that .exe file into a folder named D:\RealTekUAD\realtek_uad_8564(www dot station-drivers dot com).
I was finally able to get it working, I just had to uninstall and delete the driver several times until it showed as "High Definition Audio Driver" within Device Manager before following your "browse for drivers" update method. Furthermore, even after rebooting I had to use the same "browse for drivers" method to update the 3 new drivers under "Software components."

I found a Reddit comment explaining the process that worked for me.

Dear @jeffrey: Thanks for taking the ball and running further with it. You SCORED with the Reddit note, which I used to update the three software components myself just now. Makes my audio sound better, with a higher threshold for clipping. Thanks!

I'm not sure what the problem is here. When you visit the Store can you see this item?

If you can't see it, it may already be installed. Check your updates and see if it appears therein. If you can see it, can you click the Install button? Is that what's not working?

    More info, please.

    Best wishes,

I don't get a tray icon from this tool. But often, I have to click the upcarat symbol in the notification area to show the entire set of icons, namely

Only then can I get to the volume control icon

    Is that what you mean?

Realtek Audio Console does not come with a tray icon - that is normal behavior (aka. by design) because it is a UWP app

get used to that as I know from experience; you will need to launch Realtek Audio Console from the start menu

Good day people hopefully you guys can help me, I've been dealing with this issue for the past few months and haven't gotten nowhere.

A few months ago I upgraded my PC and got this motherboard PRIME-Z370-A and since I had to format windows I decided to update to the latest version also which is 1803 (I was previously on 1709 I think).

That's where the problem started, I downloaded the audio driver from the mobo's support page but not only did I completely lose the Realtek Manager (which I understand doesn't work with certain drivers as of windows 1803) but I also lost the "Enhancements" tab from the speaker properties, which is my main issue since I NEED a custom EQ to make my speakers sound good.

I would like to have the Realtek Audio Manager as it provides useful options but my main priority is to have the Enhancements tab for the EQ, I don't mind if it's through the Manager or the speaker properties but I need to set my custom EQ settings otherwise my speakers sound like crap.

Can someone point me out in the right direction please?

Nekrono I feel your pain! Updated to 1809 and thats the million $$ question how to get it back... I also lost the Enhancements tab and I can't seem to find a solution to get it back after spending hours on Google trying to find a fix. Its a known issue that plagued many users. I don't think its even possible any longer with the new MS updates and Realtek drivers. I've settled on using the Realtek Audio Console with selected options. Works fine FYI..
