In many cases, what options you have or can get with Realtek depends on what the PC or motherboard vendor has enabled. I used to have an ASRock motherboard with Realtek. It had some options and different screens than the Realtek on my current ASUS ROG (Gamer) motherboard has. I have a Dell 2017 laptop with Realtek and it too is different.

Is your adio device an HD Audio one or just a normal realtek chip? The later is very rare to find but... worths asking.
If your device is not an HD audio device, I'm afraid you can't install the HD version of the drivers, as it could cause even BSOD's if the driver does funny stuff...

If it's being replaced by Windows Update, try using the "Show/Hide" tool.

If you have the correct driver, install it, then see if the problem driver shows up in the "Show/Hide" tool. If it does, hide it.

The next time the driver gets replaced by Windows, open Device Manager, double-click it, select the Driver tab and see if "Roll back driver" is enabled. If it is, select it. If this doesn't help or can't be done, open Task Manager and see if there is a Realtek application running that might be replacing the driver.
