How do I get audio from my monitor into my headset?

    Monitor: AOC - G2460PQU 24.0 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor (G2460PQU) - PCPartPicker
    Headset: Logitech - G430 7.1 Channel Headset (981-000536) - PCPartPicker

so the usb part is connected into my PC and i get audio just fine.

i recently got a nintendo switch and i play my switch using HDMI on my monitor. (my pc is DVI)

now my monitor has sound but I want the sound to play on my headset instead. I have usb ports on my monitor but that didn't give me audio. The green wire with the headset logo I put that in my monitor and still got no sound. How can i get sound on my headset from my monitor?

the basic thing to look for in your monitor is output ports like 3.5 mm jack out or maybe 3 color a-v plugs , but as i consulted the model manual i see it has no single port out , even the usb ports are used to read media off flash memory or upgrade firmware .
the funny thing however is why you havent thought about plugging your 3.5 headset jack directly into the nintendo switch ?

holy **** i forgot their is 2 usb ports on the left side of the switch... sadly connceting it through the sound card did not work. i heard my headset turn on but the audio is still coming from my monitor.

i removed the aux wire from the soundcard and plugged it on the switch itself and it worked 100%. thank you so much!

quick question, any idea on whyHow do I get audio from my monitor into my headset?-image.png i use those 2 wires with teh soundcard it doesnt work? like my headset turns on 100% but no audio?

when i put the How do I get audio from my monitor into my headset?-image.png green wire on my switch i get sound 100%. im so stupid lol ty!

I believe this headset is a PC plug and play device not designed to work on any other gadget than rather than a PC/Laptop (i.e the sound card/small box past the USB cable has a micro board that connects to PC and set itself as an audio device in device manager where you can check in "Sound , Video & Game Controllers" section in device manager of your PC/Laptop if it generates an entry , but would not pair with any other gadget because it wasn't designed to do so) .

By default the USB interface is never used as an audio input/output device on its own .
