    Audio problem

I haven't been able to hear any sounds from the likes of Youtube or a programme which I installed, Application Soft ware, Sound Organiser 2,which came with an ICD Recorder I bought.
However The speakers in my computer were working at this time.
I was advised to 'troubleshoot' the problem (audio, sounds) & this is a notice that appeared.

    Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76C7&SUBSYS_103C2AB6&REV_1001\4&3471808a&0&0001 requires further installation.

It was suggested that I install the Generic Audio Driver, since then I have no sound in the speakers, I want to uninstall the generic audio driver but it is only showing up in 'troubleshooting' with a little yellow triangle & exclamation mark. I can't hear any sound when testing the current driver.
Where do I find it to uninstall?
    Help appreciated, thanks.

Have a look in the Device Manager (via Control Panel, and run as administrator). If you can see the driver there, you should be able to uninstall. Then restart.

Thanks for that, but I can't see the driver there.

    Try looking here

Right click on your audio device, then click properties, then click the driver tab - you should see an option to uninstall the device. After you restart, windows should download and install the correct driver for your device.
That is my understanding of how it should work anyway.

    Hi FernNZ

    What motherboard do you have?
Easist would be to go to the motherboard manufacturers site and download sound drivers then install them.
