    Audio problem

Even though I have been able to hear sound from the speakers on my computer, I have not been able to hear sound from a website, the likes of Youtube or sound organiser programme, that I installed for hearing sound from my ICD-Recorder.
When doing a troubleshooter this notice appears;"Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5067&SUBSYS_103C360B&REV_1003\4&204cfb37&0&0001 requires further installation."

there are quite a few 'answers' to the problem on Microsoft & HP site, (including others) that Ive tried, but nothing has fixed it. One answer was to try the Generic, Audio Driver which I downloaded but now there is no sound from the speakers at all, when troubleshooting the problem this notice appears, "problem, Generic Audio Driver' with a little yellow triangle & exclamation mark..I have been trying to uninstall the generic driver and go back to the previous driver but the 'box' is greyed out, where do I look to uninstall it, I can't find it under Device Manager.?

That won't fix the original problem 'requires further installation" , where do I go from here.?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi FernNZ

Could you please fill in your system spec so we know make and model.

I found this which seems to match your message. Is you device a Conexant sound device?

If you could find you sound device in the device manager and

Right click Start, click Device Manager, right click device you are having issue with, click “Properties”, click on “Details” tab, in “Property” box use the drop down to select “Hardware IDs”, copy and paste first line in “Value” box to Google. Google can usually tell you what device driver you are looking for.
