Audio only comes out one headphone w/ interface plugged in

Hi guys, I have an audio interface plugged in (the E-MU 0404 USB, but it did it with my friend's too when we tried) and when I go to playback audio, it only comes out of the left headphone. I thought maybe the music software I was using just didn't like the interface, but it does it with my files and with Spotify as well. I've also tried using multiple pairs of headphones, and everything is set up properly (as far as I know). Is there an issue with my computer or am I not setting something up right?

If headphones work thru computer but not interface, then the interface headphone jack has an issue. If the headphone don't work in either port, computer or interface, then the computer Headphone jack has a problem,.
Try pulling the headphone plug out just slightly, like a milometer.

The headphones work in the computer port, but not the port on the interface that I have or that my friend had. We've tried two different interfaces with two different pairs of headphones (and each possible combination), but the headphones and interface work fine with his laptop.

The old SoundBlaster is listed as "end of life" on their site and Windows 7 drivers are the latest available. Probably a compatibility issue with Win 10.

It did the same thing with my friend's much newer model of audio interface, though (I don't have the brand or model, but it works perfectly with his MacBook). I think it may just be my laptop, in which case I'll just have to invest in a new one, unless somebody knows a fix.
