Realtek HD Audio v6.0.1.8059 (64-bit) has just been released:
Microsoft Update Catalog
I did my very last Realtek update 2 weeks ago(got the driver for my mobo at MSI).
On Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 8.1 Update, and now 10, I have at least once got stuck in a uninstall loop.
They have a really sloppy uninstaller/installer.
Even when I uninstall it my self, delete, any known folder, and do a tour in Regedit, it still will try to uninstall first, reboot, try to uninstall again, reboot, on & on.
The need a simple installer, that's it. I have never, ever had a uninstall loop from any other driver, except from those sloppy coders at Realtek
Note: I finally was able to install and escape the loop, but shutting down my PC, turning the power switch off(some might need to unplug the PC, and doing a power cycle(also called a "proper power reset), by pusing the start button on the front, to drain every last bit of juice from the PC.
When doing a clean install of Realtek drivers I uninstall them using Revo and don't let it restart until Revo cleaned up all tails.
I've just learned from the station drivers forum that there was a v8053 driver available from Gigabyte (for GA-Z270MX Gaming 5 rev 1.0 motherboard) that was released on Feb. 10, 2017. Driver date of 8053 is 1/25/2017. the package contains not only the drivers but also asio drivers and is about 227Mb in size.
by the way, MSI has a v8034 driver with Nahimic audio enhancement software included. MSI recommends using realtek audio drivers only from MSI, not from other sources or manufacturers as MSI packages special config files (and certain audio enhancement applications) along with the realtek audio drivers.
