Thanks for the heads up IntelliMoo :

I'll have a good look at that, it's far bigger than previous drivers at 268.3 MB.

    Microsoft Update Catalog
Maybe due to the extra Intel SST Audio Device Driver is included.

For the guys who want to add the Realtek HD Audio Manager to the Control Panel, I wrote a REG file that adds it no matter what driver you have installed.

    I thought I'd share this.

Ah ha - Found them in MUC.

I also just got done chatting with Creative. I was trying to legally purchase a license for using Creative 720(Realtek Driver Addon/MOD). They want none of it. Started trying to tell me that the vendors they work with basically have very specific designs that allow it to work... Which we all know isn't true.

But as this is the Realtek Driver thread thats all I will say on the matter since I did see a few people asking about XMB 5 which is the software before creative 720.

Thanks for the suggestion - installing the newer driver now.
Сreative 720 not work on motherboard without native support !This package checks on the hardware level Id audio chips .MB5 latest package works on any motherboard with realtek chips

To be honest I can't make my mind up on this version. I keep swinging between good and just OK, I'd say it's best to give them a go and see what you think. As for now I'm keeping them installed :)

    UPDATE

Listened to these for a few hours now. The bass is good and the detail is there but they sound slightly rough around the edges.

    Overall, Good Drivers :)

Looks like 6.0.1.8295 will (probably) be the next update.
Should be good for everyone to use.

Thanks DooGie! I don't reboot my system that often so only want to do it when there is a good reason to, as in good new version of drivers... How would you rate them compared to 8279 though?
