I have to say that it's not good the way Windows 10 wants to micromanage this.

You used to have a Realtek application in the tool tray that you could open and select the sub, and you were up and running in seconds.

I don't like this latest update, sounds muffled up on my system. I think I'll revert back to 8233 which sounded good.
Was wondering what others think of 8237.

Yeah, less distinct & Realtek HD Audio Manage is back on Control Panel.

I agree asturias7, music sounds lifeless and boring with 8237. I rolled back to 8233 last night :)

Well it's pretty obvious that there is no actual fix for the no-subwoofer output problem.

So I went ahead and ordered an extra pair of interconnects for my audio system.

It's a shame that MS screwed this up so bad, but it is what it is.

At least i'll have my sub working again, and i've got wayyy too much money tied up in this setup to not having working properly.

I really didn't want to route everything through the sub, as it's really not the cleanest signal path, but whatever.

That is what annoyed me about Realtek. Like with dd-wrt they fix something just to break something else then they fix it just to break what was fixed before. I wonder if these Realtek drivers are really beta?

I think they just churn them out and don't really care about the end result, at the end of the day they are all about making money.

Yes I noticed that. 32-bit versions and other builds for different Windows 10 releases. I still don't like them though :)
