That's why you should keep a copy of an older working driver. If latest driver doesn't work as expected you can always reinstall the older working driver. Once you find a newer working driver, keep a copy of that as well.

reverted back to 8004 driver, it seems that mic volume is back to normal but enhancments still missing which is strange. what could be the problem?
one thing ive noticed is that in some of the realtek drivers, the waves maxx files appear to be missing
I have a xps 8700 Dell Inc. 0KWVT8 mobo and 8135 sounds great...but I cant open the dell audio tab in control panel
all the enhancements are there still if i open the sound app and go to the enhancements tab so its not a big deal but It is a functional difference
for me the major thing is the quality of sound and like I said it sounds better than 8035 which was what the realtek site offers in the r281 driver 64bit
it just depends on whats more important to you
Hey guys.
Does anyone know what the current or latest Realtek HD Audio driver is? My motherboard is an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z. I need the best driver and audio manager available for Windows 10 that includes bass and surround sound enhancement equalisation. I have in my apartment an EDGE 900W car sub powered by a 600/650W PSU and for my sound system a Philips FWM608/08 (originally 600W) stereo system. I swapped one of the dual amps inside the Philips stereo system with an 800W amp. The car sub is connected via an RCA/AUX cable into a splitter which has another AUX cable that goes from the Philips amp/stereo to the splitter and car sub AUX cable. The splitter then connects directly into the back of my PC.
Unfortunately the attachments isn't letting me upload the zip file containing a video clip of the car sub in action. You can download it externally from my webserver FTP.
WARNING!: The sound you hear from the video is distortion from the low bass frequencies coming from the sub. It is apparent that my Galaxy S6 Edge microphone isn't so great at picking up such frequencies. :P
If you want something better forget onboard audio cards such as Realtek HD. You need a discrete audio card such as Creative SoundBlaster Xi-Fi (games) or M-Audio (Professional)
