It's just a sample screengrab, so people will know which sound quality settings im trying to change.

As for bluetooth drivers, if you click on support and download on the website with my bluetooth dongle, you will see that you can only download drivers for windows 7. I have previously installed older drivers for my bluetooth dongle which caused a lot of issues.

As for the realtek drivers, i downloaded the ones you linked to and went through the setup and installation. I should probably also mention, that it works with my laptop.

The latest drivers for any hardware will always be the ones from the developer/manufacturer of the hardware In the case of Realtek these will be found at Realtek

However, as stated by realtek themselves their drivers are often modified by the manufacturers of motherboards or complete systems, so the best place to get drivers from can often be the maker of the Motherboard, (for systems custom built or by others,) or the system manufacturer such as Dell, HP,Asus or Acer Etc.

The drivers can also be found on download sites but these are always more likely to be older drivers when a new OS is released or updated (with Windows 10's New twice annual refresh policy, the Download sites may struggle to keep up with some drivers , and will often include free gifts of dubious use.

The New Windows Upgrade policy may also cause manufacturers of the initial Drivers to be late with usable drivers, they do get the opportunity to test drivers with the Insider Preview, and the larger manufacturers have agreements with MS to get even more relevant information but some issues may not show on all hardware or mixes of hardware/software. so you may have to wait a while until all the systems work properly. It's important for those with an issue to let the manufacturer know a lot of manufacturers read Tenforums and so it may be that they will be aware of issues but direct contact allows the user to deal direct with those who can actually make changes to the drivers.

You can purchase basic USB sound cards for a few Dollars/Ponds online which can often allow you to use the system whilst the drivers are put right

I can try the realtek drivers from asus website. I could also install them from the dvd that came with my motherboard. I will see if i can get in touch with asus as well. Do you have a link to the usb sound card you are talking about?

You might want to experiment with this:

Stereo Mix no longer appears. - Windows 10 Forums

    See greyed out item here:

    Sound quality-sound.jpg

Option is available In VB Cable if set as default device:

    Sound quality-cable-input-properties.jpg

You must select this device in system tray sound icon.

You must configure output via speakers:

You'd have to add driver via download link in this post:

Stereo Mix no longer appears. - Windows 10 Forums

Then you'd have to configure bluetooth headphones as listening device in VB Cable. Can be tricky to set up.

I just installed the realtek drivers from asus website. I can change the sound quality settings with my wired headphones. But the option to change the sound quality with my bluetooth headphones is still greyed out.

Did you receive a driver specific to the bluetooth headphones in the packaging, or is there one available on the manufacturer's web site, with my bluetooth equipment there is only a basic volume control available and any other controls are on the device.

You can get generic sound equalisers to run with Windows, that work with all devices and allow you to save presets for various types of outputs, but these can be a little difficult to set-up as they are mainly aimed at specialist needs

Here is one I have used Peace Equalizer, interface Equalizer APO download | SourceForge.net
