Disconnected device sound keeps happening every few seconds

    Dodgy Cable/Socket?

    You could have a dodgy cable or USB socket.

    Remove all of your USB devices.
    Then try each of them (individually) to see if you can tell which device/socket is responsible.

    For example, connect only a keyboard or mouse and then try:
    • Jiggling the cable to see if it is responsible
    • Swapping the cable to a different USB socket and try again

    I had exactly the same problem with that sound and then the device manager refresh. I had been noting that the keyboard skipped letters occasionally so I figured it might be that. I went to pull out the keyboard usb cable and noticed it seemed slightly loose. I pulled it out, then put it back in and, voila, the annoying noise was gone. I hope the keyboard will now stop skipping letters, too

Hi, I recently had to change my motherboard, which went without any problems (from Z170 to Z270). I just updated the intel drivers and had to re-activate Windows and that's all. However, the onboard LAN on the new board didn't replace the old one...
I've updated two of my Win7 Professional PCs to W10 Professtional. After the upgrade, I can't RDP into either one of them. The session connects and I can see the desktop for a second of two, perhaps make a couple clicks, then it gets disconnected....
Unknown Device Disconnected sounds
in Drivers and Hardware

I am getting numerous Device Disconnected sounds and occasionally Device Connected sounds. I am trying to trace the source of these and started looking in the event logs. There does not appear to be any events with Critical or Error tags showing....
