adj592: you're a very GENIUS! It works on my NS55SL. THANKS!!!!!!

Hi, I'm just registered to this forum with the precise goal to send you a big big THANKS for your post that giveback the sound out of my old but yet valid Asus NS55SL after hDD replacement with SSD and migration to Windows 10.
I've lived very sad day wasting time in trying installing old drivers befoire reading your post. At least 3 different Microsoft consultant given to other people different wrong explanation for the impossibility to install the old drivers.

Luckily, I have a quite old but effective free portable version of Aesus that changed in few minutes or less the partition from GPT to MBR and immediately after the miracle happen with the sound back succesfully installing the original Asus audio driver!!!

For the moment I've avoid to "block" updates according to your instructions because it seems to me tha Win10 is currently more tolerant with old drivers than before. We will see.

Indeed, I've experimented a very bad behaviour with suspension mode also after updating graphic driver. In order to solve this it seem works disabling USB selective suspend properties according instruction found here: 10 Best Ways to Fix Windows 10 Won't Wake up From Sleep Mode Error

    THANK YOU !!!
