    Get Office

    I'm really fed up
I just downloaded Windows 10 fall creators update 1709, from 2 weeks ago,
I performed a clean installation of 1703, and then I installed 1709 from the ISO file, each time I found more & more problem in the end of finishing setup, settings and updates, last time after I checked for all updates in microsoft store, the app called get office wants to update itself, after finishing its change the name of the app from get office to my office, and there is an error happened that the latest app ( Get office ) not remove itself or uninstall from start menu,
now 2 apps in the start menu ( Get Office , My Office ) and more and more problems , Sorry I'm not on my PC now to take screenshot and I don't speak english very well

I've always just done it from the start menu. You can also click on the start icon and start typing Programs. Add or Remove Programs should appear at the top of the list. You can open that and uninstall some unwanted apps as well.

To clarify, the most recent update to the "Get Office" application released very recently (today?) has created a strange bug.

When you update it, a second app is installed called "My Office" on your system. If you try to uninstall "Get Office", it will not. Launching it installs the "My Office" app, which can be uninstalled.

In other words, we're stuck with the "Get Office" app that cannot be uninstalled. Right-clicking and selecting "Uninstall" does nothing.

I've run into this issue as well. Anyone who can suggest a fix/workaround, please do.

    Hi folks,
@Ahmmad Hegazy , check this thread please What is ? Solved - Windows 10 Forums
Your English is very good, by the way...

Last time when I made clean install of 1709 I noticed that is better to wait for the Store to update all its apps and then uninstall them from start menu with right-click. If you don't do so, either they will be again installed or there will be errors in the installed update history in Settings - Update and Security.

@yuusharo Welcome to Windows 10 Forums! If you cannot uninstall an app with right-click, you may want to consider using CCleaner here.

@Ivan Petrov thanks a lot for your supporting, now I installed 1703 again and took all the updates of it, after that I installed 1709 from an ISO, and also took all the updates, I just uninstalled Get Office app. Before it takes their update and its removed from the menu , i think now all everything is going well, and if I wanna download my office app. It will .

I'm stuck and having this problem too. Google led me here.

After reading this thread, it seems like the only way to get rid of it is to reinstall an older version of Windows 10, delete it then, then update to the newest version of 10?

Has anyone found an alternative way to get rid of it? I don't think I have access to an older version of Windows since I just recently built this computer.

I've already tried re-installing all the default apps via powershell, but still can't do anything with "Get Office."

    Thanks in advance
