Can windows media player play video files with .m2t extensions?
It could not in win7 so I downloaded a codec pack and now it plays them.

WMP plays m2t's on mine, but it may depend on exactly what they are. Do you get an error message?

I suggest you try to deal with the corruption.

    Have you tried
    1. First check your disk:
Download and run Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) and make sure all disks are reported as good.
If not, do not continue, and post back .

    2. Now check your file system:

From an admin command or powershell prompt
[Windows key + X, click command prompt (admin)]
    chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Post back the result, which you can get after a restart as follows:

Make sure the result is clear or fixed- else do not proceed.

    3. Then from an admin command prompt run
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and post the result.

did the sfc came back ok
Got a thread going here on some of my problems with it.
When I booted win7, it did a chkdisk on it. Did not notice anything odd.
I have has so much grief with it, not funny, one time it lost activation and MS tech had to fix it.
Ever since it refused to let me go back to win7, nothing but a pain it has been.
I installed win7 on seperate drive and it so smooth, perfect.
This win10 was an upgrade from win7.
After I installed win7, I noticed immediate huge boot speed up from before when I ran win7. so win 10 has inherited that grief with long boot times, and who knows what else too.
    .
Another problem, mouse started not wanting to move, pause and start - Windows 10 Forums

I tried that program, HD Sentinel, but it wont report info or do anything.
I ran seatools generic long test and it passed
