    You need to find out why you don't see compatibility options.

    If you don't get a rt click Properties Compatibility tab then
    Open Settings, type compa in the search box, click 'Run programs made fro...'

    You should see

    I found that if I rename the default install package Firebird- to Firebird.exe, it will run and re-install without a problem. If you install it to the original location also retains the user database.
