Nero 12 will not install on Windows 10. They want $59 for update.

I've had 2012 installed on Win 10 but upgraded to the latest version. Haven't had a need to try and install 2012 version since the Creator's Upgrade. But it looks like if what you say is true and you want Nero you will have to buy a compatible version. I have Nero as the Nero BurningRom is the only CD burning program that will burn to multiple drives at the same time. I do a lot of custom audio burning and have a bank of 5 burners. I can burn 5 at a time.

I have the latest version, which fixed a long time problem with Nero BurningRom (at least back to Nero 6 and maybe before) of cutting off/corrupting part of the song name if its only two words.

Have you tried running the installer one of the compatability modes?

Depending on what features you use ("Nero" refers to several different suites of optical media related programs having different assortments of capabilities) there are freeware alternatives for burning, such as CDBurnerXP and ImgBurn.

I have tried compatibility modes. I contacted Nero support. This is what they said>Unfortunately Nero 12 is not compatible with Windows 10, as Windows 10 was developed and released 5 years after Nero 12. We cannot guarantee its installation, and we offer no technical support.

For Windows 10, we recommend the purchase of Nero 2017, which is compatible and currently supported.
I responded back to them>I think a program that cost $129 should last more than 5 years. It should be up dated free to make it work..
