I'm sorry for your woes but there's a lot of that going around with unscrupulous vendors and those "Money back guarantees". It's age old problem not unique to IT and SW. On account of low price they don't even expect that anyone would go to trouble of getting a refund. I remember in '70s when I bought a cheap toaster with such a guarantee. When it consistently burned my toast to carbon I tried to return it next day and they refused because " I used it". Well how the heck could I know I'm not satisfied if I didn't use it ???

WONDERSHARE is another big "China" based Corp. that is famous for many, many SCAMS, they always force you to buy $19.95 "Trial" programs that never works because of important features left out, and then tell you that you must buy the "Professional" Version $39.95 with MONEY BACK GUARANTEE to get full features. They also get several "scam files" into Computer and Registry, that never go away and are in so many locations it takes days to find and delete them all.

I was one of millions that quickly discovered their program NOT working and demanded a REFUND. Even though paid with PayPal, the Seller always "wins" the case and I never get any refund. This is how I discovered that PayPal is NOT what it claims to get your money back. I'm very suspicious of PayPal ever since. This happened four times to me in past two years, with "Chinese Scam" Software that I DIDN'T know was a "scam" until it was too late.

PayPal is just a money transferring (and laundering) service and is not to be trusted with anything else. Ultimately they'll side with one they make more money and that's mostly sellers.

Wondershare data recovery and a couple other programs have always worked perfect for me. I don't have any "scam" files whatsoever on my computer so may not apply to everybody. PayPal takes forever to actually investigate anything.

The WONDERSHARE Program I was "scammed" on was the one that claims it can find the lost password to unlock my iPhone.
I ran it 24 hours a day for four days and it NEVER found, even a "piece" of my iPhone password.
I was in the 30 Day Money Back period, reported it to PayPal, who ruled in favor of Wondershare, and I NEVER got any refund !!

THIS was the program that installed "pieces" in Registry and in "Programs" that even Revo Uninstaller Pro could not remove.

My wife accidently deleted several critical photos off of a USB thumbdrive and was desperate. I used the Wondershare data recovery program and it recovered every photo so I can't complain about that particular program. Paypal is a joke as far as investigating anything. I have had the same issue with them in the past so I won't use them unless I know that I won't need to dispute the order. If I have any question then I will use a credit card where I can dispute the purchase. Live and learn I guess. More scams out there than you can count.

    stealth2920,

I'm happy to hear at least one WonderShare software program works. Guess you (your Wife) was one of the "lucky" ones.
Was this program a "free trial" or did you BUY full version ????

I'm not kidding, I just happened to see wondershare in the Registry while looking for something else. I did a "find" (F3) and it must have had more than 8 entries. I also searched my "files" and "wondershare" appeared in many places.

All these entries were there after I uninstalled it. I'm sure if I had REVO at the time it would have found ALL this junk !!
