    Uncompatible Programs with Windows 10??

I understood that if any programs that are not compatible with the new operating system of Windows 10. Any programs will uninstall automatically while installing new operating system. Is that correct or not. Because of asking is that I have one PC game program that is Microsoft Train Simulator which is stopped by Microsoft support. But the program is still running up to this date with no updates since 2004. This program came out in 2001. Someone told me that if that is the case and I will loose lots of files that are using for the program of Microsoft Train Simulator. If yes, then it would be wise for me to cancel the reservation of Microsoft Windows 10 till this problem is straight out first.

    Thank you,

If it is outdated software. Yes there will be the same issues with 10, and there was with 7 & 8. There is no way that Microsoft or any company is going to fix an outdated piece of software that there is no longer any support for.

Thank you for your reply about this. Guess that I should make a back up copy of Microsoft Train Simulator before next Wednesday in case I loose all the files.

You should always be making backups or cloning the hard drive at least a couple times a month, in case of failure.

I've noticed that HIPS is disabled in ESET when installed on Windows 10. Because of this, I'm using Windows Defender . Hopefully, they will fix it soon, as ESET is my favourite anti-virus.

Microsoft is not the issue. The issue is with ESET.

I'm aware of that. ESET claims everything will be cool on the 29th.

You hope. I am sure that they will be pushing out updates like all of the others for a while, until they can get things to fly smoothly with 10. It looks like they are already pushing fixes. How do I upgrade to Windows 10 with my ESET product installed? - ESET Knowledgebase

Yeah, I do hope so. ESET is simply fantastic. Light, easy to use and has great detection. I use it alongside Malwarebytes.

bro67, have you ever tried ESET? If so, what do you think of it?
