I have been trying for a long time now to update Adobe Air but I keep getting this error:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I am the administrator. Every thing I find online is outdated (not for Win 10). I have software that needs Adobe Air and I'd like to update.

Had a very similar issue the other day with reader. I uninstalled reader and then installed fresh right from adobe.com site. \
Might work in your situation as well.
I would never push anyone away from forum but Adobe also has forum and help page.

Thank you for replying.
Yeah, I've tried to uninstall and I still get the same message so cannot uninstall. I had also looked into Adobe's support but most of their information is actually outdated.
Any other ideas?

Well, you could try creating another Admin account and see if you have success with it.
You could also enable the built in Administrator account and with its authority remove it. I would then disable buit in Admin.
