Uninstalled all updates and it's still the same, not opening. I don't know what is causing this, I think I'll have to wait for some Windows updates.

I didn't Uninstall the updates I listed, just did a System Restore to a date before them, in my case it was 7/17/2015.

    Maybe it's Profile related.

Try creating a new account to test this. If that works, you cana move any data you want to keep from the old account

I'm happy to come with the fix!

Found it on Windows Central Forum, go to C:\Users\[ACCOUNTNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

Delete all folders inside LocalCache, start the app and it works!!! Thank you all for helping!

Thanks Warkratos, that worked perfectly. I also have been having this problem and re-registering/sfc/dism didn't do anything.

    1. Go to "This PC"
    2. Double click "OS (C:)"
    3. Open "Users"
    4. Open your username (The Profile you are currently working in)
    5. Open "AppData"
    6. Open "Local"
    7. Open "Packages"
    8. Open "Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe"
    9. Open "LocalCache"
    10. Delete the entire folder, with contents, you see there.
For those who didn't want/need a step by step:
    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Then delete the one folder in LocalCache.
And that's pretty much it. Opened store and no issues after. Also if anyone is having issues with the Mail App, if you have AVG, it's the firewall on that so just turn it off and mail will start syncing. Hope this helps everyone.

The latest Updates, KB3074679 & KB3074686, seem to have broken the Store app, opens only to the initial screen with the swirling dots then immediately closes after about half the dots being visible. Can't update the Store if it doesn't open. Link to report to Microsoft also missing now.

Actually, that computer has been taken out of service, can't get the released version on it. I did set up the Win7 computer I had reserved for Win10 on Wed. PM, works fine. Also Upgraded a Win8.1 Notebook to Win10 on Thur, only needed to download the Bluetooth driver from Dell [their Web page showed the Win10 drivers available] and Upgraded a Dell Venue Tablet from Win8.1 to Win10 on Fri. AM.

Create another Windows account and check if store is working on that account. If it works, just simply switch to that account. I had same problem and that's what i did.

You are running an elevated Command Prompt- right?

    Try this

Launch an elevated PowerShell (right click, run as administrator ...)
then run the commands one at a time

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore

this should return similar results to those below:
    Name : Microsoft.WindowsStore
    Publisher : CN=Microsoft Corporation, O=Microsoft Corporation, L=Redmond, S=Washington, C=US
    Architecture : X64
    ResourceId :
    Version : 2015.7.22.0
    PackageFullName : Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.7.22.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
    InstallLocation : C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.7.22.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
    IsFramework : False
    PackageFamilyName : Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe
    PublisherId : 8wekyb3d8bbwe
    IsResourcePackage : False
    IsBundle : False
    IsDevelopmentMode : False
    Dependencies : {Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00_14.0.22929.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe,
    Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.0_1.0.22929.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe}

The information for the next cmdlet comes from the InstallLocation attribute (highlighted above)

    Don't close PowerShell yet .....

Grab only the value for that field (do not include the attribute part -> InstallLocation : ) and paste it into a text editor (notepad is fine)
the add \AppxManifest.xml file to the string and place quotation marks on the string (due to the space in Program Files); ex:
    "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.7.22.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml"

Finally add the cmdlet and parameters before the string you just built
    Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register

In the Powershell window the entire string you created in the steps above.
    Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.7.22.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml"

Sorry about the size - it's the only way I could make the entire string fit on one line.

I've tried what you mentioned but only got this error message
