Macrium Reflect: Graphics resolution too large in BIOS mode

I have a Samung S24D300 monitor connected by HDMI to an Acer Aspire XC-605 desktop with Win 10 Home.

When I go too restore an image, by selecting the Macrium option in the boot menu on boot up, everything is too big, so I can't see all the buttons to select in the UI. I'm very familiar with Macrium but the PC is new to me. Is there any way to make it fit to the screen?

There is only one resolution option in the Macrium UI. I've tried with a VGA cable as well with same result. Macrium version is the latest.

Same for me & several other users who've posted about it over on the MR forum, the workaround is to rebuild the rescue media with PE 3.1, but some have said this doesn't work. MR seem to think it only affects Lenovo computers but it also affects my PC Specialist laptop.

I replaced the macrium boot.wim with the boot.wim from here Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk - Windows 10 Forums

All you need to do is double click on the ISO to mount it and then copy the X:\sources\boot.wim to
C:\boot\macrium\WA10K\media\sources\boot.wim or whevever you asked macrium to save it.

The rescue disk contains Macrium (among other things) and the resolution works OK. Simply replacing the macrium boot.wim with the one from the ISO means you don't have to worry about changing the boot menu entry macrium has created.

The other option would (possibly) be to edit the macrium boot.wim and add your display drivers but I didn't try that.

I read in the MR forum to try building a USB recovery with PE5, which I did with the same result. i wouldn't think the problem was vendor-specific but whether they use the same sort of components. Mine's an Acer.

I'd really like to sort this because i don't want to use anything else. In 10 years MR has a flawless record for me with recovery.

Can I eliminate the monitor as the problem and it's definitely the Macrium rescue environment where the problem lies?

Thanks. I'll have a bash with that late tonight although I might need clarification on how to do it at some point in the process. Will see if I can do it first.

I read that too but using PE 5 & PE 4 still show the same low resolution problem.
The majority are Lenovo & MR are saying it's Lenovo's who has to issue a fix but as I posted it affects my laptop which isn't Lenovo.

I made a bootable rescue disk with all the utilities from that link but the problem was the same.

I also tried adding the path in the text file at C: > Boot > Macrium > Drivers > SearchPaths.txt to all the items in the graphics driver folder in a usb stick. I booted up my PC and selected the Macrium option. It loaded the drivers up to the graphics driver. It then increased the resolution to the correct one during installation of the PE but then stalled, never getting passed that driver. It then notified that a serious problem had occurred and had issued a dump file which I should send to Macrium Support.

I had put the drive letter of the usb stick in the text file and saved. Is there something I should have done to the graphics folder first? I just copied all the contents to the stick. I've attached an image of the driver folder contents that I put on the usb. Note; There was an audio driver folder in the folder as well which I deleted if that makes any difference. having the audio folder there made no difference to the end result. The graphics and sound are integrated in the CPU not separate.

I'd like to try this. Where is the macrium boot.wim and how do I add the drivers to it? My experiment seems to confirm that adding the drivers would work.
