Onedrive has ceased allowing me to open any files stored in it

Clean install sounds like a good decision. The repeated failed "reset" may have done other damage beyond your OneDrive. Best of luck, and post back if you need anything else.

@f14tomcat good evening :) i did the reinstall of windows, and onedrive still wouldnt sync! everything is saved on the cloud though. so i deleted the g:/onedrive, and am resyncing everything. all 66gb

thanks for all your help! i have heaps of kids photos stored there so it was kind of important.

I had a suspicion that G:/OneDrive would bite you. Glad you got it all straight, even though it was a pain.
