    Why do I need Xbox?

I am not now, have not been nor hope to be a gamer. Why can I not get rid of Xbox? What does it do that is pertinent to the operation of Windows 10?

    You can if you wish...
Uninstall Apps in Windows 10 Windows 10 Apps Features Tutorials
Search for xbox, and make sure you select the appropriate on for all accounts or just the current account.
Feel free to search or browse the extensive Tutorial section.

There are plenty of redundant apps (depending on your usage) - I never use any of them!
I understand with the CU that once uninstalled, they stay uninstalled even after an upgrade (like the CU) or an in-place upgrade repair install. Formerly that was not so.

I own an XBOX and use that APP. But I still disagree with making it un installable. People shouldn't have to be forced to use powershell etc to remove the bloat. There are other apps as well, that like you, I don't use and will likely never use. And as far as I can see are not integral to the running of Windows 10. So why no un install option? I don't get it?

I guess it's all about MS trying to impose uniformity across a range of devices and device types, so users move between them and have exactly the same experience- never mind syncing..

Of course the next step would be to divorce the OS from user data and installed programs completely- no hacking, no reg edits, - and a more robust structure with nothing the user installs appearing in OS folders. But that's a huge architectural change. It would reduce the forum workload though.

Thanks for the tip Dalchina, it appears to have worked using powersgell.

I agree, alphanumeric, there should be an easier option.

A lot of those apps just add clutter you have to sift through to find what you want. I do use Apps, I just don't like having ones I don't use in my face.

Fair enough.. as I use Classic Shell start menu, apps are (optionally) in one folder which I don't have to look at.

@jshaw42 - good, that was an easy one.
