I've tried to turn off the touch screen feature in hopes that the two are in fact related, but there's no option for the HID-compliant touch screen feature in my OS, so I can't turn off the touch screen or this thing either.

    mysterious keyboard feature

I do appreciate the help, but please bear with me, I'm totally new to Win 10. I don't understand what you're getting at here. Could you walk me thru the steps you're taking? thanks What I"m trying to do is disable the touch screen feature in Win 10, and stop this other window from popping up.
