    After upgrading to build 10240 from 10166 I get this error when opening Microsoft Money (See attached image)
    Money worked fine in all previous Windows 10 builds but in 10240 not working.

    I am facing the same issue. Using Money since 2000 - 15 years of data. So far I have not come across any solution. 10240 broke Microsoft Money.

    I will be cancelling the Windows 10 reservation I have for this machine, at least until MS Money works or I find a good replacement. The last time I looked for a good replacement program was a long time ago and I could not find one. My bank supports, MS Money, Intuit Quicken or Quickbooks and spreadsheets (.csv). Not many choices.

    Microsoft Money was discontinued some time ago, doubtful there will be any effort to make it work on Win10. There is/was a Sunset version available from Microsoft, haven't tried it. System Requirements shows it works on Win7, probably will on Win8.1 and Win10. I'll be trying it later today.
    Download Money Plus Sunset Deluxe from Official Microsoft Download Center

    I have been using the Sunset Version for a long time now and it has always worked for 7,8,8.1 & 10. I heard here that it does not work with the latest build 10240. I did not get a chance to test that out because of other problems I having with build 10240 - I went back to 8.1.

    I have found a couple of other accounting programs that may replace Money for me but I have not had a chance to try them out yet. - so I won't mention them.

    I will probably stick with 8.1 until I find a suitable replacement for MS Money.

    Micorsoft Money - Solution to work in build 10240

    This solution worked for me! Yeah, it is absolute life saver for me!

    Thanks to "im-mad" who gave this wonderful solution in one the forums!!

    After much searching I have found this works for me
    MS Money (MoneyDlxSunset) has worked with following registry change.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
    "Version"="9.11.10240.0" (originaly: 9.11.10240.16384)
    I'm not sure about side effect by this change. registry change is at own risk.

    I have Microsoft Money version 14.
    I couldn't find that registry entry but after running regedit and doing a search for 9.11.10240.16384 I found the location and changed to :- 9.11.10240.0 which worked fine for me.
    As always you do this at your own risk!
