    A way to Block ignore?

I'm having issues with the Grammar Checker in Word. I've tried all other forums and just wondered if anyone here knows of a simple solution.?
Basically; whenever I reload a document i'm working on (I'm a Fiction Writer) Word had the habit of forgetting all the Grammar amendments I've made and I have to go back through the work correcting issues. Most of which are caused by the fact that Grammar check (Even when Grammar and Style box is ticked in options) doesn't understand that sometimes strict Grammar rules need to be abandoned for the word, sentence, paragraph etc. is "CONTEXTUAL" and to add the corrections and suggestions it offers would cause the work to read with the wrong meaning or flow. So I tend to find myself using the "Ignore Once" option in the Context menu a lot. (Characters in a story have mannerisms and ways of speaking that don't fall within the strict Grammatical rule structure) Occasionally I get the option to Ignore All. that helps , but I would love to have that option permanently in the context menu that pops up. I have tried and better tried to find a way of doing this. It has to be possible. Can anyone here help me? My fingers hurt from typing a lot, even at the best of times, why should they suffer more because the creators of Word are such pedants.

This has been how Word works for a very long time. I don't know whether it's a bug, or intentional, but it's not something you can "fix". Word has never really been intended to be used for this kind of writing anyways. It's primary intention is for use in business correspondence. There are any number of novel writing oriented word processors that might be better. Scrivener seems to be very popular with writers, not just for the word processor itself, but also for it's writing tools.

I've found a way around it, but periodically when I load up a Work in Progress, it forgets all of the proofing, spelling, dictionary and Grammar settings and I have to go through the entire document reminding it what its forgotten. Soooo frustrating. A recent update also reset the thesaurus, language and dictionary from UK English settings to US English settings...Something it used to do regularly, but hasn't of late. I just wish the Programmers at Microsoft realised that not everybody in the world uses US English. Thanks anyway.

What's wrong with checking Word's options, especially the "Exceptions" section....
