    AV software is set for firewall

    Which is the better way to go? Right now I have Vipre AV set for my firewall instead of MS. They are both good but which would be the better way to go.

    IMHO, the MS firewall (at default settings) is all you need for inbound protection; however, some 3rd party AV software offers inbound and outbound protection. This article gives you the basic comparisons:
