I just installed 4.1 from the MS Store for $3.80 which is half price for the next 8 days and good for 10 PC's.

Just started using it so I have something for the weekend.

I thought Paint.NET was free. Why did you pay for it? (although it's a fair price).

It is free for the regular version from their website and you can donate there.

I got the Windows Store version and no way to donate.

Store publishing requires a registration fee... and they are recouping 'suppose - it's a business thing.

Kudos to you and those that pay a fair price for cool apps....

Thanks for clarification. Yes, cool apps deserve a donation. I have done several over the years.
