Xbox app update keeps getting offered again and again

So I ran a check for updates tonight (I always do mine manually) and after cycling for a while it finds an Xbox app update. I install it, only problem is the update keeps getting offered again and again no matter how many times I install it. As it happens on both our machines I am inclined to think it's an issue at MS end. But wondered if others see the same? It's as if Windows store detects a new version is out there but when one installs the update it just downloads the order version

I'm not seeing any prompt but mine shows Modified minutes ago and version 24.27.17008.0. I did click the Check for updates in the Store but nothing appeared to happen. I let windows update run automatically so I never see prompts for app updates.

Thanks for advising. Must of been a temp glitch last night as tried again a short while ago and it all updated ok

If it happens again try going to Settings > System > Apps & features > Xbox. Click it then click advanced options. There is a reset option buried away there. I was going to say just uninstall it and reinstall it, but you can't, which is stupid.

As not everybody owns an XBOX. I do and use that app so I have never tried to uninstall it.
