SERIOUS PROBLEM: Can Skype Give Away My Privacy?

    Hey I.T experts!

Skype is the only app I use to communicate with people online and this is why I'm so worried.

I was about to download the Skype update and install it, but I'm just worried about something.

    This is my big fear:

That Skype has the ability to "screencast" or record videos of me using Skype and the other apps that I use and then upload them back to the Skype headquarters.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    What can I do?

    Thank you!

If that is going to be part of Skype from now on then I would certainly stop using it.

    How would that help?

They might not know where you are but your username is unique.

Is that new feature in the Skype Preview version? If not, it might be time to switch to that.

    I'm running Windows 10, but I don't think I'm running Skype Preview?

This is really scary for me now!

Preview doesn't mention screencast in settings, does the desktop version?
