@Edwin
Hi there
You've missed the whole point here
the problem is to FIND the station you want - setting favourites etc is easy ONCE YOU'VE GOT THE STATION but say using the example I've been using you want to get a list of the available Classical Music stations in Brussels then there's no quick way to list them -- you get a mega list of ALL the stations in Brussels -- that's 97 -- not perhaps as many as some places but still a lot to search through them all to get what you want.
Without a decent search by location and genre any of these sorts of apps are 100% USELESS unless you know in advance the name of the station you want - and also on most web browser type of apps there are often ads or "exhortations urging you to Go Pro" (i.e PAY).

Hi there
@bondy99
MSI is "Windows installer" -- usually the best option to use -- simply click on it.
The.EXE file is just the executable - which may or may not have "extractor" in it if the file is compressed etc.
On that site either are good but I would tend to choose the installer (.MSI) file as if other stuff is needed then the MSI file will contain the commands to download and install any extra stuff --for example if NET 3 is needed or whatever.

Hi jimbo
Thanks for the explanation. I'll go for the MSI.

It's called 101FM Logan Radio or FM101 Logan Radio. I've found it after googling
It is simple after you have installed the vlc player of Videolan on your PC. An excellent and often used mediaplayer for audio and video. Then, go to the Website of your station. Press listen now. Above you see icons of iTunes, Windows and vlc. Press vlc. Save listen-live.m3u The corresponding icon appears on your desktop (otherwise you have to look for it on your PC). Doubleclicking on it gives immediately your station.
Hi there
That works of course but the advantage of using a SERVER for streaming is that you can stream the content to remote devices -- you can often use a PHONE as a remote handset as well so you don't have to be sitting in front of the computer. A Phone can also be used as the CLIENT so you can listen on that too.
It's often a drag to be stuck on the local computer when you just want to listen / watch stuff on a remote device -- I'd go for the SERVER / CLIENT solution every time these days rather than a stand alone application that needs to run from the PC and you have to listen via the computers sound card etc.
Another advantage is that a server can serve to multiple devices so if you have several people with different devices they can all listen as well.
VLC can stream multi-media but its fiddly and you have to start the wretched app from the PC -- with a SERVER application once the server is running so long as you don't reboot the PC you can just forget it - and these types of apps especially for audio use minimal CPU / Other resources.

No worries people,
I have the matter sorted thanks to all the advice. I'll mark this as being solved for what I needed to have done.
