'Best' 90 free apps - reviewed for Gizmo

Best Free Windows Apps | Gizmo's Freeware

Best? It's a personal opinion and different for each person of course, but here's a starter for (Win) 10.

There are a few interesting ones presented in 8 categories including educational resources such as Howstuffworks, Stanford University; games and media players, graphics tools, utilities and even file managers

Google (voice activated) caught my eye- it launches its own browser, and was accurate just with my laptop's mike- so fine for what it is.
(Aside: I wanted to launch it with 'Hey Cortana ..... start Google' but there were too many Google possibilities and the new app wasn't listed. Here the inability to rename things in the Win 10 start menu is frustrating - even if I did rename it - e.g. Google Search- that would probably be a problem after the next app update e.g.).

Then I tried Shazam. It recognised the Festival Overtureplayed on my rather distorting laptop speakers, so credit where credit's due- but whose Festival Overture? Actually it was Bax's; Shazam only presented the title and orchestra, and below, confusingly, some ads for Beethoven's Academic Festival Overture. So nul points for that one.

Tnx, always on a lookout for freeware, specialty programs preferred instead of ah so prevalent "Do it all, accomplishing little" programs/APPs.
