I was responding to your question. It's mainly started via autorun, so shortcuts don't come into play.
Well, maybe if I used C:\Users\zsolt\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
Anyway, as I said setting minimized for Messenger apparently doesn't have an effect anyway.
ok, now I understand. The semantics of "startup" got in the way. Your example in your post here shows it is thru the standard Windows startup. They show up in the Startup Tab of Taskmanager. I don't use Messenger, but I can believe some apps will not respond to starting minimized and will force themselves to display.
Create a shortcut to that program and set the shortcut option to run minimised. Then copy the shortcut to the startup folder at C:\Users\[myname]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
What happens when you double-click on the shortcut? Nothing happens? Or an error message?
What does the window display?
