how to turn off cortana asking me to put it on my phone?

For the love of god how in the world do I turn off the Cortana message that keeps asking me to put her on my smartphone.

I don't own a smartphone where I can put Cortana on it, I keep hitting "not now" but everytime I open Cortana the message is back, the thing takes up over half of Cortana's screen, getting sick and tired of having to click is off everytime just to see my sport scores and stuff.

how to turn off cortana asking me to put it on my phone?-screenshot-59-.jpg < this is what I want to remove permanently.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Best guess is to go to Settings > System > Notifications > turn off get tips tricks etc? Just a guess as I don't have Cortana. I'm running the Education version which doesn't have Cortana.

Nope that won't work. I have even nuked anything to do with phones from all my systems, and I get the same thing too.
I even have a thread about it in Feedback Hub: Error - Windows Insider Program Terry go ahead and Upvote it AND leave a comment there.

I clicked on the "Get it on GooglePlay" link, left that open idle in the browser window for an hour or so, haven't seen the annoying thing in Cortana ever since.

Sometimes I wonder what I'm missing not having Cortana, then there are times like this where I'm glad I don't have her installed.

I get similar prompt on my XBOX asking me to install the XBOX Glass App on my phone. I haven't figured out how to kill that either. It's just one extra button press to play the game so I've just put up with it so far.

I should also mention: I entered the 'BS' generic 'Hollywood' phone number, 555-555-5555; it errorred out but, I'm thinkin, if the prompt/advert detects that you made an effort to acquire the app, then the advert may stay away!
Hasn't come back to haunt me!

Oh, ok, because I just tried what you said initially and nothing changed, now it makes sense.

As of today, after many, many, many months.... It's gone!!!
I used a made up number(I hope no one has it, but they just get an automated message if they do) from my home town in the states.

    It came back again today

    I nuked her.
I turned off ALL her permissions, AND, I signed out of her: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html

I then wrote one last message on my tzhread in the feedback hub:
That's it, I give up, Cortana is gone from by PC now.

I posted 3 months ago about this SPAM crap, it went away for one day, then came back, after I tried(in desperation) to use a US phone number from my home town. ONE DAY!
Now it's back like herpes, this has totally ruined my Cortana experience, I'm sticking to the classic Windows search, and turning off Cortana on all four of my machines.
