Do I need DirectX on my system?

Do I need DirectX on my system? When I tried to install a program, this message appeared:

It shows d3dx9_43.dll is missing. Should I download the file only or install DirectX, Where could I download it? And which version do I have to use?

Try downloading and installing the latest drivers for your graphics adapter. Your system specs are a little sparse.

If the program says you need it, I'm assuming it's a game?
You need it. Reinstalling directx shouldn't hurt anything.
It's amazing how many programs still use dx9.

No, no, CrazyTalk is used to make animations.

    Alright, reinstalling does not matter.

Yes, very odd, such an old DirectX.

    Many thanks
