    Microsoft Store won't launch

I can't launch Microsoft Store on my mother's laptop. It's running Windows 10, version 10.0.14393. The laptop is only about a year old.

Whenever I try to launch the store, I just get hourglassing. I've let it go as long as 45 minutes and it never gets launched.

What can I do to resolve this?

First try the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter as Admin at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories. Also run sfc /scannow form an Admin command prompt, do a full PC restart and report back what you find.

I ran the Window Store Apps troubleshooter as Admin. It said the cache may be corrupted and offered to do the Reset and Open Windows Store. I let that run but after a half hour, it still hadn't completed. It gave no indication of how long that should take so I had no idea if it was working or not; I cancelled it and let it run the rest of the troubleshooter.

When I tried to go to the feedback page for the troubleshooter to suggest that they include information on how long Reset and Open Windows Store took, I just got hourglassing.

When I ran sfc/scannow from a command prompt as Admin, I got "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

By the way, I ran the fix recommended for re-registering the store and that didn't work either. (Store - Re-register in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Tutorials)
