[SOLVED] I do have Samsung drives installed, not Intel; a Samsung 840 EVO and a Samsung 850. I solved the issue though. I managed to install a later RST and this enabled the Performance Optimization function in Magician.
Hello, how did you manage to install later version of Intel RST to enable the functions in magician?

Just go to Windows Disk Management and restore the missing space. The point of over provisioning is that you get in a lot of trouble if the drive suddenly gets full. But all this can be managed from within WDM. There's nothing magical to it.
I recently updated the Firmware on a Samsung 850 Pro - Running Windows 10 Enterprise.
Now it states it is not supported, how do you restore the missing space?

Over provisioning is giving more lifespan and more performance on IOPS when writting small files (7% of OP give 2 x IOPS and 2 x lifetime). At least by samsung's document for enterprise use: http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor...ovisioning.pdf
Of course, for regular users OP was removed in Samsung Magician 5.0, maybe we don't deserve it...
P.S.: yes I know over provisioning is just free space on HDD and anyone can do it via Computer Management, but definitely it was more comfortable for regular users in Magician software

Should I update?
I have a SATA 512GB 850 Pro and Windows 10 64 bit.
I have had an issue for a while now and wonder if I should update Magician from ver 4.9.7 to the current V5? Also, I am still on Firmware version EXM01B6Q and I believe it says to update to EXM04B6Q.
My issue is that on my ASUS Z97 MoBo, several times a month it will boot TO UEFI BIOS. I then hit F10 to save and exit and it says I made no changes...NO KIDDING. :-) Anyway, it looks like there may be a race where Bios says to boot from the SSD and and then goes into BIOS.
Anyway, I have no idea if that is the issue...I have no other issues. So, should I update and if I do will Windows 10 think I have a new system if the SSD firmware is different?
I do wish to leave it alone but I do seem to be downlevel as far as Samsung is concerned. If I do update should I update Magician first then let it get my new firmware or should I d/l the firmware from Samsung and install it without Magician?
