    Old Quicken cant be installed

I have quicken premier home & business 2005, It wont install on my windows 10. Ive ordered new versions of quicken, However I don't like them So Id like to stick with this version. How can I get it installed, I have the original disk for it, I feel it may not be compatible with windows 10. Please help. Also, no one can create a disk from my old computer to transfer onto my new computer.

Did you try installing the program in compatibility mode? Right click the program exe and click on Properties. On the Properties window, click the compatibility tab, place a check mark in the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for", then choose the operating system that the program was written for (Windows XP, Windows Vista). If it still does not install correctly, go back and try a different operating system.

If you still can not get it to work, my only other suggestion would be to run the program in a virtual box.

Also ensure you run the installer as an Adminstrator. This post may be useful http://www.sevenforums.com/software/...fessional.html

It might run if you are really lucky but you usually need to install the program using the installer program. The steps here may fix it for you https://www.sevenforums.com/software...fessional.html

If all else fails, you can run a virtual machine for Windows XP or Vista within Windows 10 and run Quicken 2004 in that VM - you will need a licence for the old OS.

You might want to think about running the program in an OS built at the time in virtual software such as vmware.
