Reading View App No Longer Works

I absolutely loved the Windows 10 reading view app, but it doesn't seem to work on many sites. Since the last Windows 10 upgrade, it no longer works on sites it worked on previously. Is there anyway to get it back? Please fix this to work on all sites as it is a great feature for those of us who like reading online. Thank you.

This is Reading View in Edge you're talking about? I'm afraid 'we' can't fix it because TenForums is, as it says at the bottom of each page....

We can, perhaps offer advice that may help. For that we'd need to know:
    • the address of a page that used to work for you but now doesn't.
    • the build number of your Windows 10 (run Winver to find out).

Sorry to get back to you so late on this, but I couldn't find this page again. The site I was talking about is Archive of Our Own. The app no longer works with any of the stories there. My Windows 10 build is currently 1607.

Yes @dustnik, I see what you mean. In the latest 1607 (os build 14393.1066) Edge's 'reading view' is not available for pages on http://archiveofourown.org such as (chosen at random) http://archiveofourown.org/works/10638654 I've tried a few things in Edge like turning off 'use Microsoft compatibility lists' but there's nothing I've found that can convince Edge to enable reading view for that particular page.

However, you CAN read that page in reading view - just click the 'Download' button and choose HTML. You then see a rather sparse version of the page, but crucially it's now a page that works in reading view.

You may like to know that reading view has had quite a make-over for the Creators Update - oh, and it works on Archive of Our Own without any problems.
