You could try installing Classic Shell to see if it shows the programs. You might need to do a repair install if sfc /scannow doesn't fix the Windows Start Menu.

Toller sorry for the short post. I was dealing with severe back pain and waiting for the relief, which seemed like forever. Now to give you some more info. When they changed the layout of the folders from the older NT Kernel to the newer one that 8 & 10 uses, the Start Menu folder locations also changed in part, because you are dealing with a cross-platform OS that is for both Tablet/Touchscreen devices that can use Apps, along with a Desktop style OS interface that can use both the App's and elder method of launching programs.

If you right click on a shortcut in the All Programs part of Start Menu, it should point you to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs". When you use either Classic Shell or Start10. Those two tend to use their own folder for items in the All Programs and use the Windows All Programs shortcuts at the same time. That means that you have two places that the items are in, along with being able to create a personalized start All Programs for your user if you want to not include every item that you may not even touch.

If you want to tweak the system and GUI out even more. Grab Ultimate Tweaker from The Windows Club at

There are some other GUI tweaking tools for the All Programs that you can check out the list at 7 Best Tools to Tweak and Customize Windows 10 and 10 Awesome Tools To Tweak Customize Windows 10 Always use at your own risk. Make sure that you have a good backup copy of your install before you attempt to use any of these tools, along with System Restore enabled with at least a minimum of 2GB for Restore Points.

    2 Fixes! Solved

Edwin: SFC Scannow said it found nothing wrong, but when I rebooted it was normal. Thanks so much

bro67: Sorry about your back; I know how that can be. I had no "all programs", but when I put the address you gave into file explorer it came up with all the programs. I saved that as a link on my first page; that would have been a solution if the other didn't work. Thanks.

    I appreciate everyone's help.
