Is the RdrCEF.exe file in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC malware?

I am asking this because on all 5 of my PC's, when I am running Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to view a .pdf file, unless I have gone out of my way to rename and/or delete this file it uses a bleepton of CPU time. 10%+ on my E5-571-5552 computer which is ridiculous.
Plus, it keeps on spamming opening and closing that executable numerous times per second.

What is the deal here? What is this executable used for in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? Since deleting it causes no issues (even automatic updates work as I expected) is it just malware that should always be removed from the computer and that Adobe needs to stop packaging with Acrobat Reader DC?

It has to do with governing various eServices; I'm not sure which ones specifically though.
