Just begin typing movie maker into the search box at the bottom left and it should appear. You can right click the application and create a link. Same for Photo Gallery.

I installed the Windows Essentials 2012 Movie Maker back when my PC was running Windows 7 then subsequently took the free upgrade to Windows 10. At install (the shortcut's date matches the creation date of the Windows Live directory in Program Files) Windows Essentials 2012 created a 'Movie Maker' item on the Start menu. It's still there in the 'all apps' list under 'M' for 'Movie Maker'.

Maybe 'create a link on start menu' was an option during setup? I can't remember, it was years ago.

It should be under Program Files (x86) - Windows Live - Photo Gallery. Should be a MovieMaker.exe file.

Look for it with File Explorer. Right-click on MovieMaker.exe and you can 'Pin to Start' and/or 'Pin to taskbar'.

Type Programs and Features into the search box and look at the bottom of the list of installed programs. It should be under 'Windows Live Essentials'.

If you can't see it then you haven't installed it correctly.

I've no explanation for that, its very odd though. I would at least try again, and this is a link direct to Microsoft.

I came to know that it is not available for windows 10, I talked to MS support with no luck, I switched to alternative "http://www.openshotvideo.com/" Hopefully this will work.

    Thanks
