Starting Outlook 2013 message: OneDrive "An update is required"

Today, 25 Aug 2016, my Windows 10 PC loaded Outlook 2013 and at the same time I received the following message:

Thinking the message to be genuine, a file was downloaded called OneDriveSetup.exe which was some 8Mb in size.
Is or was this update genuine?

I have since deleted the file as a precaution. Checking this further, I find that in folder:

    C:\Users\Mr Morgan\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\Update
There are two new files called:
OneDriveUpdate.exe which is 20Mb and the other is an .xml file called update.xml.
    Are these files genuine?

FWIW, I have the two files (one 20MB) as you described in the ...OneDrive\Update folder. They are the real deal.

Forgive my curiosity, but how do you do you know that the files are the "real deal"?

Two reasons....1. I just did a clean install of Win 10 Anniversary and 2. I just ran the update program and it said it was preparing OneDrive for first time use. Really didn't do anything since OneDrive has already been set up. There's another OneDrive.exe program in AppData/Local/Microsoft/OneDrive folder that you can use to reset OneDrive if you're having sync problems. Just run it with the parameter /reset. Hope this helps.
