    Hi there
Is there any method to activate say a screen shot in n secs where n is user settable

For example Ksnapshot from Linux KDE desktop. After the requested delay time you get into capture mode --very convenient at times.

The timer is the only thing I use Windows Snipping Tool for. Like your Ksnapshot, they added that feature (up to 5 sec) so you can capture r-clicks or whatever. I know of nothing else. Maybe someone else can chime in. There are just so many screen cap progs out there.

I am perfectly happy with Greenshot - meets all my requirements. Ksnapshot is for Linux, so can not test it in Windows.

A big bonus with invoking a capture with Greenshot using PrtScn is that it will freeze the screen so you can capture everything including 'mouse hover tooltips', the Start Menu, etc.
The Greenshot Editor is fairly feature rich as well.

OMG; what a GREAT Tip ! I just tested 'prt sc' with Lightshot and it does the same thing. Just like it more because the editing tools don't need a dedicated window to work with. Thanks so much, Edwin !

This is a community. You might already gotten your answer and found a tool that suits you but this thread will also be opened and read by other members and guests alike interested in the topic in question.

This thread will stay alive and most certainly get new suggestions, whether you follow it or not.
