Severe Sticky Note Typing Lag - Nowhere Else

A few build releases ago, I started having a severe Sticky Note typing lag.

This does not occur anywhere else in Windows Explorer or Apps, such as typing this thread in a browser or using Microsoft Suite.

As an example, I typed "How long should it take to type this message?" in a Word Document, Browser, and Sticky Notes. In the first two, it took less than 5 seconds and characters appears instantly. In Sticky notes, only "How L" was visible in the same initial time period and it took over 65 seconds before the last character finally appeared.

Microsoft seemed to fix one issue, and created two more. I no longer have to double tap the alt key each time Sticky Note window was active in order to enable scrolling. But, I have this strange delay and lost formatting ability to create lists. See keyboard shortcuts.

System Specs: Should not matter as it seems to be unique to one app, but...
256GB SSD (180 GB Free). 12 GB DDRL ram. i5-4300M.
Win10 Pro 64-bit, Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.10), Insider Preview.

I just made an account to report the same problem. Old sticky notes worked fine but after the update there is this huge delay when typing.

Try to create a new user account.. and see if problem persists.

Hi, i get this too, it seems to happen only when there's like a a few hundred words in the sticky notes, if i take the text away it's fast again. This only happened when i downloaded the windows 10 anniversary update. Also after the update my hyperlinks are no longer hyperlinks, they're just plain text.

I have been using this program for over 10 years. It is highly customizable and has timers that will pop up a sticky at any time you choose.

I'd prefer to fix sticky notes instead since i already have it but if there's no way to fix it then i'll switch, but i'd like to try and find a fix first.

Click ... at top of note. Click settings at bottom of note. Turn off enable insights and/or send application usage statistics. It worked fine after I did this. May be more one than the other.
