    Jet runtime error # 17

Hello... I am running Win 10 64 bit. I just started having this problem. I was not running any specific game or program when it started. What I noticed was, that when I went to play Wordbiz, which I play all of the time, but this time an error window came up that says: "JET runtime has detected unrecoverable error #17 (system exception) please contact the vendor of the application. Extra information about error is saved in the jet_err_6488.txt file" When I go and try to find the file, there are no files with those numbers. So I uninstalled Wordbiz and re installed it...no change. Now there are other games that are giving me this error or simply just never load. I have not been able to find any real solutions to this problems online, so here I am asking for somebody's help with this issue.

I too play WordBIz and am using Windows 10 64 bit. Jet Runtime errors abound. Even though I pay to play scrabble on ISC.ro via WordBiz I can get no one (Carol or anyone else) to give me any help with these errors.

This JET error is showing up in all Windows builds (1511, 1607, 1703) after september/oktober Cumulative

    Known issues in this update

    Symptom Workaround
Installing KB4034674 may change Czech and Arabic languages to English for Microsoft Edge and other applications. Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
Installing this update may cause applications based on the Microsoft JET Database Engine (Microsoft Access 2007 and older or non-Microsoft applications) to fail when creating or opening Microsoft Excel .xls files. The error message is, “Unexpected error from external database driver (1). (Microsoft JET Database Engine)". Download and install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable, and then modify the DB connection strings in Microsoft Excel to use ACE as a provider. Example: Change Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 to Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0.

Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
Universal Windows Platform (UWP) applications that use JavaScript and asm.js may stop working after installing KB4041676. Uninstall the application. Once this is complete, reinstall it.

Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
